Why are cookies necessary?

They are essential for providing user-friendly online services. The interaction between an internet user and a website is faster and easier with the help of cookies. With their help, the website remembers the individual’s preferences and experiences, thereby saving time, and making browsing through the websites more efficient and friendlier. At the beginning of each use of the online shop, the company assigns a cookie to each user, to identify, monitor the shopping cart and ensure traceability, which is stored in the server memory only for the duration of the visit to the online shop and is deleted after one hour of inactivity. The company may also store some persistent cookies on the user’s personal computer, such as the user identification number in encrypted form for identification on the next visit to the online shop or article reviews, through which the user knows which articles he has already evaluated, and, indirectly, also cookies of the Google Analytics external service, which serve for the analysis of website visits. The company may use this information in an anonymised summary form for statistical analysis purposes. To ensure cybersecurity, the company also collects the IP addresses from which users access the online shop.
